The *real* reason I answered this email is to ask will, Matt K., Bruce, or
any other bananafish who are perhaps up to their elbows in Salinger literary
criticism on a regular basis: Have any of you noted a mention of
Ramona-as-Walt's-child theory anywhere else? I mentioned before that the
only other time that I'd seen it was on Stephen Foskett's website, and until
Scout's recent mention, I'd discounted it. I suppose I'm curious re: other
sources and what the critics have had to say about this story.
