Honest. Perhaps it's just like learning another language, but my ear is now
completely attuned to it and I actually love reading it. And it makes
perfect sense to me, too. I read a book like *The Gift of Death* or
*Aporias* or *Specters of Marx* and even upon first reading I have great fun
and I have no trouble at all following the details and arguments. It's a
real joy for me. I re-read *Glas* every year or so just for fun. I realize
this is not true for everyone, but I have to be honest here.

Sorry, but it's the truth. My colleagues can't understand this either, but
they do believe it, because they've seen me give readings and interpretations
off-the-cuff in classes and on panels.
