Somehow, this struck me as unbearably funny. Dry funny, not ha-ha funny, let alone ho-ho funny.

Like Cecilia, i am from a medium sized Catholic family, but Catholic probably
doesn't means as much to the Dutch (other than a political power
recently removed from that power) as it does to Americans.
Anyway, I guess you could say that having four brothers is kind of
odd. I was supposed to be the last child, but I still have two younger
brothers. My oldest brother Boris, explained all of this one time by remarking
that my mother had a problem saying no. (He said this, clumsily,
at the dinnertable he managed to avoid my dad's 'punch'
but not my mothers slap in the face.)
But I guess Boris' explanation is as good as any.
My younger brothers, what can i say about them? They're funny, a
pain in the ass, endearing, driving me to tears, awful on my
privacy, and I wouldn't want to miss them for the world.
Not long ago the youngest, Pavel, anounced that it was time for
him to get a girlfriend. When we quizzed him sometime later
about how he was doing with the girls, he said that he already dumped
his first. He's nine.

We are a rowdy bunch, we fight a lot amongst eachother, argue a lot and i
guess that i am not typical feminine, because I don't have sisters.

As an explanation of one's character, I attach much value to the theory
of the childrens row. That is theory that states that having a older
sister, or a younger brother, leads to a distinguishable different character

For example, it says that if a girl is the youngest of 3 girls, she would be
the most feminine, the oldest would be more motherly, the oldest brother of just
boys would be best suited to mate with the youngest girl of girls, the younger brother
would 'mate' best with a girl with youngers brothers, etc.

What this means to me, having both two older brothers and two younger ones, I am
still trying to figure that one out.

Zazie.
