alsen the imaginative?

i'm very slowly reading alsen's 'salinger's glass
stories as a composite novel' and wondering if i have
a firm memory of the glass stories. on page 5 he
writes, 'in 1945, shortly after the end of the war,
buddy visits seymour in the psychiatric ward of an
army hospital, somewhere in germany.'
in which story can this 'fact' be found????
