interesting to see that there will be an appendix of
salinger's fictional characters. and a glass
chronology.
  i hope he has rethought some of the highly
questionable entries from his first book. e.g., 1941:
seymour now drinks quite a bit, and 1945-48: seymour
remains in psychiatric wards of army hospitals for
most of the last three years of his life.

as for interpretation, i wonder if he will still stand
by the laughable premise of the 1965 buddy wrote
seymour's 1924 hapworth letter.
