i wonder if salinger realizes, or, more to the point,
his lawyers, that nearly one hundred of his precious
pages are online at one of the most trafficked
websites?

you can read all of 'a perfect day for bananafish',
and the opening 20+ pages of each of 'the catcher',
'franny' and 'raise high the roofbeams, carpenters'.

where you might ask.

on amazon.com. their 'look inside' feature for each
of the 4 books provides all of the above.

granted, it's to induce the brower to buy. but still i
wonder.
