Speaking of intention, after shooting a remarkable round in the mid-sixties
one summer day, Hogan came off the course and reportedly murmured miserably
to a listener, "I hit three shots all day the way I wanted to." Of course,
an iron straying three feet off line was a betrayal of his intentions
apparently.
