Although I have my own issues with Hapworth, I disagree that a seven year old genius is not capable of writing good prose. Mozart was composing great symphonies at 7. It is unusual, to say the least, but possible. However, at 7, I was more interested in cuddling Snuffalupagus (spelling?) than writing lengthy letters to my parents. I work for The Psychological Corporation and you wouldn't believe some of the responses we get on the IQ tests that are being standardized. There are a few very "off the chart" kids.
