It wasn't just about writing good prose, though -- goes far beyond that. Do you see subtlty in emotional maturity, or the ability to read and absorb major works of western lit in a very short period of time? I think the Seymour of Hapworth is more convincing as a precocious teenager than a precocious 7 year old.
