a random thought due to the mention of my friend anton:  some of salinger's
stories seem to fly in the face of the chekhovian principles of fiction
writing, most notably S:AI but also perhaps Teddy and definitely Hapworth.
thoughts anyone on salinger as a revolutionary in literary style and craft?
