That's rather a vague topic to be declared the exclusive intellectual property of one individual post-er. Besides, there are several ways to approach the topic, and at least two or three million different definitions of postmodernism (John nods excitedly as the dark and terrible clouds of a new thread on postmodernism gather and rumble and bulge on the horrible horizon). Sounds interesting. A guy named Wenke published a book on Sal's short fiction that touches on the issue, and I know he's interested in JDS-as-sortof-postmodernist. But he never really addreses anythign directly. Something worthy of exploration, especially if it's done--and surely it will be--with the loving care of a devoted reader. -- Matt Kozusko mkozusko@parallel.park.uga.edu
