I'll add to pasha's point by saying that I think Catcher is a msterpiece worthy of rereading and close scrutiny..."the salinger industry" of critics does more than produce hot air (or air unbreathable for amateur readers) IMHO, and there is really a wealth of allusion and langauge play in the text that makes it more complex and beautiful to me with each re-reading...will
