According to another interview, Ms. Salinger's "indexing discussion"
took place in the late 80s. She was not certain her father was still
writing and hadn't talked with him in over a year. I'll post the
unedited book review after it comes out this Sunday but can at least
say now Dream Catcher is a good reading and the pictures are pretty
cool too. I think there are three reasons for the book's success
IMHO: 1) Ms. Salinger writes well 2) Ms. Salinger has read her father
well 3) The best living source on J.D. Salinger's youth after the
reclusive writer is his sister and Ms. Salinger did indeed use input
from her Aunt. will
