i agree with much of the above. but i have had one
off-list thank you which would have melted your heart.

i wonder how much interlibrary loan work public
libraries do these days. i agree a couple at a time
is the right speed anyway. if old salinger stories
mean that much to one, then why not allow the pleasure
to last a longer time.

i totally agree with the above. there is no sweeter
pleasure than tracking down difficult-to-find literary
materials and finally to have it in your hands.
(though sometimes the idea of it is much better than
the reality . e.g., early salinger stories.)
