Absolutely. Shall I polish my boots?

Is that what that is? Yes, I understand that sometimes these things need
careful handling.

It was precisely as you reported. I held back the last page, actually,
and asked them to write the ending. Nearly all of them guessed that he
was going to do something violent to Muriel.

Most of my girls *liked* and *admired* Muriel for staying with an obvious
nutcase. Many of them wrote an ending in which Muriel somehow saved
Seymour from himself.

Only one student predicted Seymour's suicide.

When I gave them the last page, I had a roomful of pissed off teenagers.
They were totally engaged in the reading of it, the sifting of details,
and so for that, Matt K., I thank you.

Promises, promises, Shakespeare Boy.

Regards,
Cecilia.
