& hunted here by loathesome sadists who blame him for
the cows' tuberculosis. Our Dairy Science correspondent
will doubtless tell us about the situation in Wisconsin (- why,
incidentally, 'The Badger State'?)
The division is customarily between hedgehogs & foxes.
You can tell which species predominate hereabouts by
the profusion of shed bristles & squashed carcases.
