Now, I am at work, so I don't have the text in front of me, But I remember taking notes when reading just two nights ago, that Franny writes something to saying that her parents were asleep that night, and they didn't say anything, so he shouldn't worry about it. If I'm off base here let me know, but the inference struck me as pretty clear. Marc
