I too would be interested in the opinions of properly biased Salinger fans,
just as a cross-reference to the proper criticism that has surfaced. The
general opinion seems to be that it is a mediocre story at best but
interesting for its new perspective of Seymour as a youngster. Also, my
latest e-mail from amazon.com says December as the new publication date, but
the tone seemed to be that they had thrown up their collective hands at
Salinger and were just as curious as the rest of us at the real date. They
did, however, seem to confirm that the book would indeed be published. Any
updated information to be had?
