I am a student of Will Hochman's seminar class on J. D. Salinger and am totally uneducated about the subject. I have enjoyed reading several of Mr. Salinger's short stories and look forward to reading all he has written. Any information would be helpful that would add both to the enjoyment of the reading and the improvement of the educational experience. We are reading Salinger's uncollected stories in chronological order of his writing them (with the exception of "Go See Eddie." ) Any suggestions for getting the most out of these readings. Such as what do I look for when I read Salinger? So far only one character has me totally puzzled. The lead character in the "long Debut of Lois Taggett." She seems so flat compared to the male characters that he writes about. Thanks, LeeAnn
