In some ways, yes. It's good to read all the Glass stories and regard them
as one big unit, but it's also good to consider them on their own. I think
Salinger intended both approaches to be taken - that's the nice thing about
them, they're like those interconnecting shelves that can build into a
bigger and greater whole or they work just fine on their own too (:
