I thought we were the only Salinger- obsessed psychos who were goofy enough to immortalize one of our fave characters into canine form (but she's not a bull terrier; she's a shepherd/chow mix)(yes, she's female--I told you we were goofy). Changing the subject, does anyone own or has anyone ever seen a copy of the first printing of "Catcher" with Salinger's photo on it? Did any of his other books have it? I know he made a big hoopla to get those blank covers (which is a really cool idea). I realize the books w/photos must be extremely rare and valuable, but I'm just curious what they may be worth and whether anyone has one. --Kari
