Hello, all. I'm doing a, ummm, highly theoretical text analysis of
some Salinger texts and am stuck working with only one copy of each
of the four books, each in the new trade paperback editions that lie
nicely flat when you're doing detailed analysis, ahem.
I've run into a snippet of text I never noticed in previous editions,
and I don't know if it's specific to this new trade paperback edition
or whether it's always been there and I never noticed it before. In
Franny & Zooey, on page 4, in Franny's letter to Lane, she says, "...I
don't actually care where I stay as long at its warm and no bugs...."

I'm going under the assumption (based on previous memory) that she
always omitted the apostrophe from "it's warm" because she has a
couple of little typos strewn throughout the text; but I don't recall
it ever saying "as long at" (instead of the correct "as long as") in
previous readings. Would someone with a different edition (any edition
would do for the sake of comparison) be able to tell me if Franny's
letter says "as long as" or "as long at"?
I'd be much obliged, for the sake of my, uh, analysis.
