I think SAI is one of the great stories of all time because I read as a
story about writing a story, with family membranes for those typcially
asociated with reader and writer...Camille makes a fine point about one of
those membranes possibly being about mr. salinger "talking to himself." I
think it was Walker Gibson who pointed out that a writer is also his or
