alright, i just have one small question. i really has nothing to do with
anything, so if you're not in the mood-then, well do as you please.
it is about shopping malls, and the gut wrenching empty feeling that invades
my stomach just about every time i set foot into one. for one reason or
another, the place that makes so many people all happy, has a tendency to
make me a wee bit uneasy. just today i had to go in, and upon entering,
some women decided she most certainly could not wait for me to get through
the door, and sent me flying off to the side. then she lets the second set
of doors slam in my face. then next thing you see is all the zombie walkers
rushing about, so busy with whatever that they stare blankly ahead into the
empty air. i think seeing people like that is rather frightening. by the
time i got to the shoe store, i had to take a sit down on the bench. this of
course only made the situation worse because i was located directly in front
of an obnoxious clothing store with raunchy music pounding out into the
hallway. i dont mean to insult this dance music, but it is just not my cup
of tea, thats all. i looked around for some kiddies, because children
sometimes provide small answers without even knowing anybody is even peeping
at them. the ones i did find seemed like they didnt really want to be in
the mall either. some were playing tag, while their mother yacked away to
some old friend, while others stood idle infront of the gumball machine like
it was telling them a secret. i wasnt too sure what to think of those kids.
my favourite was the temper tantrum. some small boy flipped out over some
video game. i didnt really understand the entire thing though, cause im not
up on all these games and stuff. so after all this babble, i just wanted to
see if others got that feeling inside the mall.
ahh yes, and today i finished reading "j.d. salinger" by james lundquist.
i knew that zen had quite the influence on his writing, but never before did
i think to compare holden's life to the life (or quest, whatever you will
call it) of buddha. it was a very amusing book, i do have to say.
im also glad to hear that radiohead floats through other dirty rooms as
well.
bye.
angie
