intersting point. I'd have to agree with you that some
films are better that way. For example, The Thin Red
Line(so far from my reading) is very different from
the film. Terrence Malick, the director, encouraged
the actors to improv and rolled tape after tape of
just impromptu conversations; mostly with Sean Penn. A
lot of times, with films like "Taxi Driver" "Thin Red
Line" and others, the original script is extremely
different from the final revised shooting script. And
even then, screenwriters are often making last minute
changes to the dialogues while filming.:)
