Graham, the man behind the Holden Server was Luke Seeman...and if you
really want to know, I think Mr. Salinger made a mistake by shutting
the site down. Mr. Salinger's character Holden said some pretty cool
things like "People are always ruining things for you" (at the end of
chapter 12 in Catcher) and though Mr. Salinger may have thought the
web site was ruining his writing, I think the web was extending it. I
still think the author has rights to his own words and the fact is
that we should admire Mr. Salinger's tenacity in protecting his work
and private life...but I always thought he made a poor decision and I
admired Luke for being nice to the man even though the idea of it was
not nice. will
