"Sensation[s]" is the very word William Wiegand uses in his article,
"Seventy-Eight Bananas."  This is one of the best (and earliest) essays on
Salinger and "BFish" I've ever read (you with me, Will?).  The easiest
place to find it is Bloom's collection of essays in the Modern Critical
Views series called _J. D. Salinger_ (0877547165--ed. Harold Bloom,
Chelsea House Publishers).
