Although ecas probably won't enjoy it, I'll try to explain why I thought
it was brilliant and why I thoroughly enjoyed it's tone. I don't expect to
succeed completely, I don't have the command of language that so many of
my fellow Bananafish do, but I'll do my best.
ecas's (and I'm using lowercase letters because that's how Eryk chooses to
designate himself and I respect that) post was so raw, so honest...so
*real* that it evoked Holden's voice. That aggrieved tone is exactly the
one I would expect Holden to have if he found himself in a similiar
situation. After so many cerebral posts, it was refreshing to read one
that came from the gut, not the head.
