William Holden?  If it's him, I wasn't aware that he was working 
in film in the 40's.  When did Sunset Boulevard come out?  
(Incidentally, the little-known band called Too Much Joy had a 
song out about six or seven years ago called "William Holden Caulfield."  
I never heard it, though.)
