oh, man, me too :)  I didn't read Catcher until AFTER I graduated college, and
I was an English Major.  Eeesh (WARNING--Don't Run a Spell Check on the
Previous Word).  I only read the opening page of Catcher in a writing class
once, that was it...

I read F and Z only because a friend of mine let me borrow it, a year before I
started college...can you believe it?

I didn't think you could go to High School in American without having been
made to read it...
