The Dead Sea Scrolls were found in the 1940s in caves close to the Dead Sea
and close to what used to be an Essene community long ago. Jesus isn't
mentioned in any of them however.
As far as The Celestine Prophecy, I read a little of it when it first came
out, mind numbing is all I can say. When I was younger I checked into New
Age philosophy and ended up realizing I had wasted time on garbage. Read
literature, it's not a waste of time and you will learn far more about life.
I just finished reading Paul Theroux's "Mosquito Coast" and except for the
ending, really enjoyed it. His description of the Honduran jungle is superb
and his skill in drawing the characters is masterful.
