Bananafish/Papayafish (sequel?) People:

I thank the "bunch" (ouch) of you for the warm greetings, and I apologize
for my nasty tardiness. I have decided this should not be a spectator
sport, so I will transcribe my thoughts more freely from now on. (There goes
those damn prepositions again.)

I must address the olive subject, although it seems to have died down a bit.
Cecilia, you are wonderful. Your ideas excite me for I suppose I like the
complex. It tickles me that JD would go to so much trouble over empirical
time and trans-characters to maintain some underlying consistency revolving
around the malleable concept of love. However, (sometimes as bad as a
'but'), my opinion upon my death bed would be that of Scottie's.

I have this feeling that the olive is simply a trademark of the times -- a
colorful little character that followed JD around in real time and real
places. A sidekick, if you will. Perhaps someday people will read my short
stories (insert hysterical laughter) and think, "Gee, what's with the Miller
Lites and football thing? Or the
iced-mochas-and-studying-in-the-college-cafe scene? What was she saying?"

Be gentle.
Jennifer
