To me, the Bananafish list is a place where people come to accentuate their
commonalities and share their differences. Everything initially surges from
our common interest in Mr. JD. However, the folks that participate on this
list inevitably have other things in common. Sure, our primary focus is
literary, but on September 11, when I was logged onto email, I sure found a
sense of family when reading excerpts from all of our irreplaceable,
international, multi-colored Fish. No way would I ever have shook my finger
at the blessed, pure-hearted folks for getting off topic when they shared
their feelings and experiences on that day.
Chris, you sound like one of those whining women who call racy radio shows
and tell them how much they disapprove of the hosts. If you don't like what
you hear, don't listen.
