It's all readily available, and you don't need an appointment. If it's
your first time in the reading room, you need to sign various agreements,
but there is little else in the way of requirements.

I picked through most of the material as an undergrad at Utexas. The
letters and the original
version of the Hamilton biography are well worth the time, if you have
it. The page proofs and first editions, & c., are incidental ephemera
and not especially interesting. Unless you're a fetishist (I know many of
you are).
