        Since I was the one who wanted your opinion of who the top five writers of
the 2nd half of the century were, and started this debate, here are some of
my picks. I must warn you that I have a terrible cold, and I am under the
manipulation of codine.

This is in no particular order:

Flannery O'Conner, John Updike, Faulkner, Salinger(Of Course), and a dark
horse who many of you are going to toast me on is John Irving. I really
enjoy his novels especially A Prayer for Owen Meany. Have any of you read
it?
