Oh, definitely the practice. As I said, I find it endearing in the Glass
kids and have found it refreshing in various cases. As you pointed out,
though, it is the cases in which the practice is indicative of a certain
suspension of responsibility that are irksome. As if the parents involved
think their children have some kind of auto-pilot system and do not need
guidance as they grow up.
