Regarding the origins of the Republican Party, that's just history, Matt. If
you want I can dig up college history textbooks and give you quotes.

Regarding policies, are you telling me there's no difference between the
legislation Clinton would support and the legislation Bush would support?
What they would veto and what they would approve? That is where the rubber
meets the road in a President, and that is the one place he will act to most
affect our everyday lives.

The Republicans gave a Democratic President line item veto -- completely
against their best interests, only on principle. The Republican speaker
limited his own term to eight years...completely on principle, against his
best interests. No Democratic speaker did that in 40 years.

Do you want me to go on? The Democrats, on principle, need big government.
