Louise, I agree with you about trains--entirely! As for Patti Smith, she
had the advantage of Lenny Kaye on guitar. He is still my favorite
guitarist/east village poet. Now there has to be a way to link this all
to Salinger...a reference to Holden at Ernies like me at CBGB's in early
80s? Dunno but I'm sure enjoying your posts, will
