My first intro to JDS was in the grocery store waiting for my Mom to check out. I was browsing the book racks and hidden in all those tacky romance books was this very plain white cover. F & Z. It was like a magnet for me. So plain, so something intriguing. Anyway, I asked her to but it for me and I was hooked on the Glass family. This was 20 years ago! I have encouraged my kids to read JDS but he does not have the same appeal for them. Perhaps they are still a little young. Who knows.
