we might keep in mind that there are about 125
subscribers to the list. probably ranging from age 12
to 72. a wide spectrum of life experience, reading
experience, and vulnerability.

i'd guess circa 15 post regularly, and another 20 once
in a while. my hunch is, and it's just a hunch, that
one of the reasons there aren't more posters is the
perception that the list can easily turn into high
noon, hands hovering over holsters.

though it might make for momentary excitement, i
wonder if it keeps too many people from feeling safe
to speak up.
