I am not the only one who thinks the American Dream is a fallacy. As a
"generation-xer" I would characterize my generation as one that wants to
shock society and defy the status quo. As movies go, The Breakfast Club
is too sterotypical, it over exgerates. Look towards Trainspotting or
Natural Born Killers, they paint a good picture of present day society
in my opinion.

On a separate note, as a senior in high school I have applied to
colleges and March is the "dooms day" month. UC-Berkeley, LA, San
Diego, Santa Cruz and Stanford are my list to which I applied. I am
leaning towards a humanites major, perhaps dual degree from Santa Cruz
and Berkeley in literature and engineering. Any opinion welcome on the
colleges listed, I need to narrow it down.
