If you really want to hear about it, it's pretty prosaic.
The house I rent in the ridiculously over-priced city of San Francisco has
an add-on room in the garage. The entire room is pine-paneled, including
the ceiling (floor of oak). My wife and I always refer to it as The Cabin.
When we bought our first computer, we hooked it up down there (I mean
_here_). Our ISP limits the user name to a maximum of 8 letters. My wife
came up with "citycabn". (I now think "ctycabin" would have been much
clearer; "citycabn" sort of sounds like we're running a taxi service.)
