You are correct. I recently had to write an argumentative essay on capital punishment, and I came across statistics and info that showed that there is a correlation between guns and a higher murder rate in the United States. Although it is obvious that this needs to be stopped considering that innocent children are dying, I doubt that the U.S. gov. will do anything considering that Americans are so stubborn about changing a part of the Constitution. I would not say that it would be dangerous to reduce the amount of guns sold to the public considering that other Western countries have benefited greatly from stricter gun control. -Liz Friedman The United States has the biggest number of guns > owned by ordinary people.
