I always read that Seymour felt threatened by Charlotte. Her beauty was a threat to his path
to spiritual fulfillment. Charlotte's beauty is well documented in RHTRBC. Seymour was
scared of coveting her, that it might hinder his path and lead him astray, possibly causing
him to stop meditating. So he threw the rock at her intending to hit her and intending to
disfigure her. If Charlotte had stiches in her face, and she suddenly did not look like she
used to, it would make her NOT as beautiful and therefore no threat to Seymour's path.

My theory ties in with what Teddy says about his past life (actually, I used to have a theory
that Teddy's past life was that of Seymour Glass). Meeting a beautiful woman, and coveting
that woman and her beauty, are threats to the path.

Thanks for reading,
Chris
