Greetings all, I was so happy to be remined of the first time that I read Catcher. I was 16 and on a flight from Washington D.C. to Oklahoma City and grabbed it simply as "airplane reading." Oh, what did I know then? I have read it many times since and no matter how old I am or where I am in my life, I can find some new connection with the book. This summer I was on a train going through Germany and I was in the same compartment with a high school age girl who was reading it for the first time. I was so envious of her. To be able to see that with new eyes... I guess that is the challenge everytime that we read a book, no matter how familiar. Bye for now, Susan
