M.E., my "book," _Salinger's Readers_ is not only not out, but its
chapters are hiding out in some very remote parts of my hard disk. I
spent the better part of a one term sabbatical organizing and researching
this past spring and summer, but school has swept away most of my
progress...my writing plans are to try and stay away from too much
Christmas and try and use the last 3 weeks of the year to give this dog of
a book some howling energy...problem is I'm more of a poet than a scholar
and I write books very slowly in either case. Thanks for your
interest...you and everyone on bananafish keep the candle burning in a
window though, so I'm never far from knowing home, will
