As far as I'm concerned, once a text is out there in the public, the author is just another reader. I'm certainly not going to worry about the way JDS or anyone else `wants' me to read it; I'm damn well going to read it however I like. I too enjoy looking into stories - and the fact that there is something there to look for is perhaps some indication that stories are meant to be peered into for those who wish to. Otherwise, why would anyone *bother* to put anything below the surface ??
