   Scottie, what do the stats say -- off hand -- about the success of
children with step-parents as opposed to those who's parents probably
should have gotten a divorce?  Is there any data, or better yet
information, on the benefits of having a loving step-father/mother?  Also,
do you know anything about the ability of step-fathers to emotionally
attach to their step-kids?

   Just asking, because you're the resident head-doctor and might be privy
to this.
