Dear American friends,
I'm looking for help about a small english-maths problem. To apply for the Green Card Lottery, the authorities ask for a "photo: 2 inches square". Does it mean they 're expecting a square-shaped picture (2 inches x 2 inches) or does the word 'square' means 'area' as in '2 inches ²' ???
