bob, the original cover isn't much more dazzling except for the fact that
jds wrote his own dust jacket blurb where he claims that seymour is the
main character of his "still uncompleted series about the Glass family"
and that "the joys and satisfactions of working  on the Glass family
peculiarly increase and deepen for me with the years.  I can't say why,
though.  Not, at least, outside the casino proper of my fiction."

I love that phrase, "casino proper of my fiction."  Salinger's voice
speaks to me like few others--he manages to mix holiness and life better
than any writer, including God for chirstsakes!
